Ever since I was a lil tike, I have had a passion for creating. I was the kid always playing dress up and wanting to put on little shows for any other human who would be willing to watch. A play date with me was a work day. You could usually catch me saying something along the lines of, "Bring your crayons and paper, we need to make a story board for our music video to Sara Bareillie's "Love Song", and my flip camera only has so much battery left, so no time to waste!". I also loved being "off book" at a very young age. According to my Mother, by the time I was five years old, I knew every word to "Cell Block Tango" and to the dismay of my pre-school teachers, I was always trying to teach it to the other kids in class so we could put on the whole number. And when my grandmother showed me "Cats" on dvd my parents thought it best to put me into after school theatre camp in hopes of preventing me from recruiting my classmates to be part of my self produced number of "Rum Tum Tugger" during school hours. I particiapated in every (original...) show they did until they closed when I was in 5th grade. There were no other theatre classes near my school, so when I got back into theatre in high school I was hesitant to start up again. All it took was one tech position in my
school's musical and I became a full blown THEATRE KID.
I performed at shows
at school, taught drama
classes at the beginning
of the summer, and
performed at my theatre
camp for the ladder of the summer. teaching at theatre camps is what lead me to wanting to teach and be a part of theatre. Now, my passions have grown through college to really wanting to do everything. I have a well rounded experience in, performing, directing, costume design, lighting design, production design, music, dance, photography, filming and editing. I am always looking to grow on these skills and pick up new ones.
ALL ABOUT
HEY YALL
Besides performing I have many interest I like to pursue both inside and outside school. I enjoy photography. I have taken pictures of many of my school's shows. Getting to capture special moments in a performance is something that brings me a lot of joy. I also dabble in graphic design, mainly poster/cover and logo designs for my schools shows and events. I like to spend a lot of my free time brushing up on my filming and editing as well as make videos and short films with my friends. Whether it be a devised horror film about Capri Suns, or a parody of Nicole Kidman's AMC intro, making films is where I often tap into my most creative mind set. I also like knitting, walking over to the movie theatre I live next to, exploring new spots in Birmingham, AL, and spending time with my rag doll cat, Oliver.
